Patrick Lyden, MD, FAAN

Dr. Lyden is the Medical Director of the UCSD Stroke Center in San Diego, and he continues a distinguished record of achievement in the field of cerebral vascular disease and stroke. His laboratory research focuses on two major areas: angiogenesis after ischemia and mechanisms underlying the ischemic penumbra.

Dr. Lyden’s investigations have resulted in important new findings that have been described in numerous publications and presented at both national and international meetings. He is, in addition, a sought-after lecturer both nationally and internationally.
